About Us

Kirat Rai Yayokkha (KRY) UK is a non-profit indigenous cultural and community organisation representing the Kirat Rai people living across the United Kingdom.

KRY UK brings together the diverse Kirat Rai linguistic groups as one community, promoting unity, inclusion, equal participation, and mutual respect.

Our Purpose

Our purpose is to preserve, promote, and develop the culture, traditions, languages, arts, knowledge, and heritage of the Kirat Rai community for present and future generations.

KRY UK also works to strengthen community cohesion, encourage youth participation, support cultural continuity, and promote cooperation among Kirat Rai communities and the wider public in the United Kingdom.

Our Objectives

  • To preserve and promote Kirat Rai culture, traditions, and languages
  • To support unity among all Kirat Rai linguistic groups
  • To encourage equal access, participation, and representation
  • To promote arts, heritage, knowledge, and community wellbeing
  • To strengthen intergenerational and community ties in the UK

Organisational Structure

Kirat Rai Yayokkha (KRY) UK operates through a structured, inclusive, and representative framework across the United Kingdom, bringing together diverse Kirat Rai linguistic communities and regional branches under a unified national organisation. The structure is designed to ensure equal participation, effective coordination, and strong community engagement at both local and national levels. Through its network of regional committees, linguistic representation, and affiliated organisations, KRY UK promotes cultural preservation, supports community development, and facilitates collaboration across different groups.

This integrated approach also enables the community to preserve, manage, and develop its community land and assets – Kirat Rai House, ensuring a permanent space for cultural, social, and spiritual activities. By combining governance, community engagement, and asset stewardship, KRY UK continues to deliver cultural events, community programmes, and long-term initiatives while maintaining unity, diversity, and shared responsibility within the wider Kirat Rai community in the UK.
