Kirat New Year – Yal Sambat

KRY UK Foundation Day

Yalamber Remembrance Day

Major Cultural Festivals
Ubhauli Festival (“Ascending”)

Ubhauli is one of the most important festivals of the Kirat Rai community, symbolising the seasonal movement towards higher lands and the renewal of life. The celebration includes traditional Sakela/Sakewa Sili dances, cultural performances, and spiritual observances honouring Sumnima and Paruhang.
Udhauli Festival (“Descending”)

Udhauli marks the seasonal movement towards lower lands and is a time of thanksgiving and reflection. The festival includes Sakela Udhauli dances, community gatherings, and traditional rituals such as Pitri Puja.
